AAJUW Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by American Association of Japanese Women
One of the main objectives of the American Association of Japanese University Women (AAJUW) is to assist the advancement of women through education. In order to achieve this goal, the AAJUW has been offering scholarships to outstanding female college students each year since the organization was founded in 1970. The fund for scholarships is raised by the members conducting various activities and donations from individuals and organizations supporting our goals. The amount of scholarship per recipient is $2,000.
Number of scholarship awarded depends on the availability of fund and qualified candidates.
QUALIFICATIONS
A) Female student enrolled in an accredited California college or university
B) Has Junior, Senior or Graduate standing in the school year
C) Recipient, at her own expense, is asked to attend the award ceremony held in Los Angeles.
D) Demonstrate a desire and intent to fulfill a leadership role in your chosen field of study and to be a contributor to U.S.-Japan relations and cultural exchanges
E) Must not have received an AAJUW scholarship previously
