There could be nothing more tragic than the loss of Ryan and Collin Petitte, two wonderful young men who graduated from Ukiah High School. Ryan died unexpectedly from an extremely rare genetic disorder in November of 2003. His death was preceded by his younger brother Collin’s more than a year prior from the same condition.

Created by the friends and family of Ryan and Collin Petitte, to support students who have an interest in pursuing careers in wildlife conservation, environmental resource management, environmental science, environmental engineering, or economics.
Eligibility Criteria
- Location/School: Ukiah Area
- GPA Requirement: No
- Financial Need: Yes
- Requirements: Pursuing one of the designated careers and involvement in extracurricular activities but limited to “traditional” activities (i.e., organized team sports or formal club memberships) but also a wide variety of other less formal activities, particularly those focusing on the outdoors, such as mountain biking, hiking, or other outdoor activities
