RCD Conservation Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Resource Conservation District of Greater San Diego
Overview The RCD Conservation Scholarship is offered each year to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education in resource conservation, environmental science, biology, agriculture, or closely related disciplines. The award is open to students who live within the RCD of Greater San Diego County’s service area. Each year the program may grant as many as seven scholarships, each worth $1,000. Eligibility To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria: - Reside within the RCD of Greater San Diego County boundaries (within the district’s sphere of influence). - Have completed at least three years of coursework at an accredited high school. - Be in the final year of high school (approaching completion of the fourth year) and hold a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. - Plan to enroll, or have already received an intent-to-enroll notice, in undergraduate studies related to Resource Conservation, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Agriculture, Biology, or a related field.
