Vicki Lynn Qualls Memorial Scholarship

Vicki Lynn Qualls was born in 1950 in Glendale, California. She grew up in Hawthorne, California graduating from Leuzinger High School in 1968. When Vicki was very young she knew she wanted to be a Physical Education Teacher. Vicki worked her way through college as a medical transcriber and graduated from CSULB with a master’s degree. Vicki fought a three-year battle with breast cancer and passed away in June 1999. This scholarship would be very important and special to her. She would love to see a student with a passionate goal and a willingness to work hard attain that goal with the help of this scholarship.
Created by Geri Dunford and family in memory of alumna Vicki Lynn Qualls. This scholarship is awarded to a student in the Single Subject Teaching Credential Program who intends to teach middle & high school students.
Criteria:
- Undergraduate student (in College of Education);
- Elementary education or singe subject student;
- Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
