California Strawberry Growers' Scholarship Fund

The California Strawberry Growers' Scholarship Fund provides more than $150,000 every year to support the higher education of children of strawberry field workers.
Since 1995, the California Strawberry Growers' Scholarship Fund, an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has supported hundreds of students in their pursuit of a higher education – all the children of California strawberry field workers.
This program alone has funded students nearly $2 million to complete their bachelors' and associates' degrees, as well as advanced degrees in science, agriculture, medicine, and law.
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:
A) First-time applicants must have a parent who is currently employed as a California strawberry fieldworker for the current and prior two harvest seasons. (Applicants may also qualify if they are employed as a California strawberry fieldworker).
B) Full-time enrollment in a trade school, community college, four-year university, or graduate/professional program during the period for which the scholarship is requested.
C) Maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or greater.
