Intro
The Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) Foundation awards Better Together STEM Scholarships in amounts of $2,500, $5,000, and $10,000. These scholarships support students who are studying science, technology, or engineering at colleges and universities. Applicants must be residents of California and must be PG&E customers when they submit their application.
Who may apply
- High school seniors, recent high school graduates, GED recipients, current undergraduates, or postsecondary undergraduate students are eligible to apply. Veterans and adults returning to school are welcome and encouraged to apply.
- At the time of application, the applicant’s primary residence must be served by PG&E in California.
- Applicants must intend to enroll full time in an eligible STEM undergraduate program for the upcoming academic year at an accredited four‑year college or university in California or at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Applicants must be seeking their first undergraduate (bachelor’s) degree.
Fields of study considered eligible
- Engineering (including, but not limited to: electrical, mechanical, industrial, environmental, power/energy)
- Computer Science or Information Systems
- Cybersecurity
- Environmental Sciences
- Mathematics
- Physics
