P. Buckley Moss Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by P. Buckley Moss Foundation
Overview
This scholarship honors artist P. Buckley Moss’s lifelong commitment to young people with learning differences — inspired by her own struggles with dyslexia during her school years — and supports those who intend to pursue careers in the visual arts.
Award Details
The P. Buckley Moss Endowed Scholarship offers an annual award of up to $1,000 to one graduating high school senior planning a career in the visual arts. Payments are transmitted directly to the recipient’s college and applied to tuition. The scholarship may be renewed for up to three consecutive years if the recipient continues to meet eligibility requirements. The actual award amount can vary from year to year.
History
The P. Buckley Moss Society created this endowed scholarship in 2006 with an initial $20,000 contribution; the first award was presented in 2007. The Society itself was formed by Moss collectors in 1987 to raise awareness of P. Buckley Moss’s work and to support charitable activities aligned with her values.
