Tony V. Grey Legacy Scholarship

Introduction
The Tony V. Grey Legacy Scholarship was established by his family and loved ones to honor and preserve the memory of Tony V. Grey (July 28, 1937 – October 13, 2016). Tony was a devoted family man, a Navy officer, a committed community leader in Ventura County, and a proud Filipino-American (Pinoy). This scholarship celebrates his life and commitment to community.
Eligibility
- Must be a graduating high school senior (Class of 2025) attending a high school located in Ventura County.
- Minimum cumulative high school GPA: 2.0.
- Must be a resident of Ventura County.
- Must have at least 50% Filipino heritage.
Note: Any relatives of Tony Grey—whether immediate, extended, distant, or otherwise—are ineligible for this scholarship. This award was created to honor Tony’s broader impact on the community beyond his family.

Additional Requirements (Finalists)
Finalists must submit all of the following (send documents by email to info@tonyvgreyscholarship.org):
1. Letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or school official.
2. Letter of recommendation from another individual of the applicant’s choice.
3. High school transcript(s) through the most recently completed school year.
4. Proof of acceptance to an accredited college or university.
5. Participate in a 15–30 minute interview, either in person or via video conferencing.
Final Requirement for the Selected Awardee
- Submit final transcript(s) after high school graduation (email to info@tonyvgreyscholarship.org), if requested.
