MyImpact Challenge is a civic engagement contest hosted by the Bill of Rights Institute.
What is a Civic Engagement Contest?
Our civic engagement contest highlights students actively engaged in service, volunteerism, or entrepreneurship in their communities.
Who can Apply?
Submission is open to students ages 13-19 in all U.S. states, territories, and Armed Forces Schools Abroad.
When does the Contest Close?
The contest is open until May 18, 2025, 11:59pm. All complete applications are judged and winners are awarded cash prizes!
What are the Contest Requirements?
To submit a project, you must describe an idea you envisioned and brought to life, centered around civic engagement. Each project must have three components:
- A written essay to connect your project to our founding principles and virtues.
- A project report.
- And a video or series of photos highlighting the impact of your project on the community.
To enter, your project must have taken place between May 19, 2024 and May 18, 2025. Multi-year projects started before May 19, 2024 are eligible for entry if their activity continues after May 18, 2025. Projects that are ongoing as of May 18, 2025 are eligible for entry. Projects completed before May 19, 2024 are not eligible for entry.
