The Southern California PGA Foundation’s Grants Program is tailored toward at-risk and underprivileged youth in the Southern California community. The SCPGA Foundation’s sole focus is to assist those in need through a variety of options focused on the game of golf. Applicants must be residents of Southern California and have completed (or plan to complete) high school by September 1st of the current year and enroll as a full-time student at an accredited college or university. A full-time student is defined as one who is taking 12 or more hours in a course of study leading to a traditional Associate (2 year) or Bachelor’s (4 year) degree at an accredited college or university located in the United States.
This completed application, along with a high school transcript and a reference letter from a PGA Professional, Athletic Coach, Teacher, School Administrator, or School Counselor, MUST be submitted to the SCPGA Foundation by 8 a.m. on June 10th, 2023. Scholarship recipients will be announced by July 12, 2023, and will be notified by the SCPGA Foundation Staff.
SCPGA Foundation Scholarship The Southern California PGA Foundation’s Grants and Scholarships Program is tailored toward at-risk and underprivileged youth in the Southern California community. The SCPGA Foundation’s sole focus is to assist those in need through a variety of options focused on the game of golf. The life skills associated with the game are unmatched and the SCPGA Foundation views each activity and event as key contributions to a junior’s overall mental, physical, and social development.
Five (5) scholarships of $10,000.00 payable to the chosen college or university.Awarded by the Southern California PGA Foundation Board of Directors & Scholarship Committee. Recipients are determined by the SCPGA Scholarship Selection Committee.CRITERIA: Recipient must graduate high school by September 1 of the awarded year and enroll in an accredited two or four-year college or university while requiring financial aid to do so.MUST have outstanding personal character and leadership qualities. Preference given to Southern California Residents & SCPGA Junior Tour. Members.Must submit resume, highlighting experience and accomplishments in the game of golf.
