The Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles (WLALA) Foundation is pleased to offer tuition scholarships to law students who plan to follow in the footsteps of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg by fighting for social justice, equality and inclusion, and have a demonstrated commitment to issues affecting women, children, minorities, or other historically marginalized groups.
To be eligible, students must meet the following requirements:
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited law school, and plan to be so enrolled in the 2025-2026 academic year;
- Upon graduation from law school, plan to practice law in Los Angeles County or engage in legal work that affects Los Angeles County; and
- Be in the top fifty percent of their class.
To apply, please submit the following materials:
- Personal statement addressing your commitment to issues affecting women, children, minorities, and/or marginalized groups and how your commitment to public service will continue after law school graduation. The personal statement should also explain why you need the scholarship and how it will benefit you. The personal statement must be typed, double-spaced, and no longer than 2 pages;
- Resume;
