Apple Hill Grower's Association Norma Brubaker Scholarship

The Norma Brubaker Scholarship was established by the Apple Hill Grower's Association in honor of Norma Brubaker, the first Secretary of the Association. The scholarship is funded by the Apple Hill Harvest Run, with matching funds provided by the Brubaker family.
The purpose of the scholarship is to support students who have engaged in agriculture-related activities during their high school career and/or intend to pursue a career in agriculture or related fields after high school.
Scholarship Requirements
A) Please use the CaLocal General Application
B) Include two letters of recommendation, only one of which can be from a faculty member.
C) Include an unofficial transcript.
D) Attach a personal essay (500 words or less) of your goals, achievements, and activities (not confined to your school environment). If you have worked at an Apple Hill Ranch, explain what you have learned from your work experience and how it will serve you in college and the future.
E) Have good character and strong desire to further his/her education beyond the 12th grade in a vocational training or college program.
F) Preference will be given to students who plan to pursue a career in agriculture or related fields.
G) Preference may be given to students who have participated in 4H, FFA, Natural Resources Programs, or similar ag-related programs in their school careers.
H) Preference may be given to students who have worked at Apple Hill Ranches.
I) Preference may be given to students who are family members of Apple Hill Growers Association members.
