Introduction Mattis Law focuses its practice on Family Law and is committed to helping children and families build safe, secure futures. To support that mission, we are offering a $500 scholarship intended to assist a San Diego County high school senior or graduate who plans to continue their education. Who May Apply This award is available to: - 2025 California high school graduates planning to enroll in a four-year college program; and - Current college students who graduated from a California high school and are either pursuing a four-year degree now or are enrolled at a two-year college with plans to transfer into a four-year degree program. Scholarship Details - Award amount: $500 - Application deadline: 04/30/25 - Winner announced: 05/28/25 - Essay requirement: 500–1,000 words Essay Prompt At Mattis Law, we value students’ drive to learn and believe the effort you put into your education matters more than the prestige of the school name on your diploma. In a 500–1,000 word essay, describe how you intend to apply yourself in higher education to achieve your goals. Discuss the obstacles you expect to encounter and how you will address them, and explain which parts of your academic or social future you are most eager to pursue.
